Abstract

Cows of the Holstein black-and-white cattle of the interbreed type “Karatomar” with 75.0% of blood content have a significant advantage in body measurements over the peers with 25.0% and 50.0% of blood content on height at the withers by 1.9 cm 2, 1 cm (P <0.01), the height on the back - by 2.2 and 3.4 cm (P <0.001), in the sacrum – by 1.9 cm (P <0.01) and 3.2 cm ( P <0.001), the oblique body length - by 3.4 and 2.2 cm (P <0.001), the chest breadth behind the blades – by 0.8 cm (P <0.01) and 1.3 cm (P <0.001 ), the chest girt – by 1.4 cm (P <0.05) and 3.1 cm (P <0.01), the chest depth – by 2.2 and 4.0 cm (P <0.001). The high half-bred cows were closer to the milk type by the index of body built, and significantly exceeded their peers with 25% of the blood content by the body size, milk type, the development of the legs and udder, general appearance, and were distinguished by a strong body composition, well-proportioned forms, longer and deeper body, strong skeleton.
