Effect of salinity on the symbiotic system of plants and microorganisms

Abstract

Salinity (defined as NaCl) after a certain concentration has a negative effect on bacteria and legumes, that is, on symbionts separately, as well as on the occurrence and functioning of symbiotic relationships between them, and the quantitative index of this influence on the levels of individual symbionts is higher. The role of potassium humate in eliminating the toxic effect of different concentrations of NaCl on the stage of formation (infection, formation of nodules) of the symbiotic system of rhizobium-leguminous plants, the activity of nitrogen fixation and the structural and functional change in the symbiotic system, and in such conditions, potassium humate, improving nutrition and development leguminous plants, stimulates the efficiency of rhizobium-legume plant symbiosis. It became clear that potassium humate has the ability to increase the activity of the enzyme nitrogenase of nodule bacteria, which are the main indicators of effective symbiosis in conditions of salinity.
